ABOUT
Raised in Staten Island, New York, my love for sports flourished under the supportive encouragement of my parents, who inspired me to explore various athletic pursuits. Despite receiving collegiate offers to extend my athletic career, I chose to follow in the footsteps of my father and older sister, enrolling at Pace University with aspirations to take advantage of their exceptional Communications Department.
During my time at Pace, my lifelong dream of becoming a sports broadcaster became a reality in my second semester of senior year. Originating from an internship at an organization called Booth Review that covered sports on campus, I forged a strong connection with the athletic department. When they learned of my passion for sports broadcasting, they offered me a head start on the application process for a coveted position, despite subsequently opening it to others. The role involved commentating for the Men’s Lacrosse team, a sport I intimately understood from a lifetime of playing. Despite the challenge of not having a Play-By-Play reel and no experience, I successfully showcased my skills by commentating over games from the previous season, securing an internship to finish my senior year. This opportunity expanded to include commentaries for Pace Softball and Women’s Lacrosse, who went on to win the National Championship!
Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Communications and a Minor in Sports Media and Broadcasting, I looked to embark on my career journey. However, Pace Athletics presented an enticing offer to return as a grad assistant sports broadcaster, prompting me to accept and pursue a Master’s in Communication’s and Digital Media. This decision not only enhances my academic pursuits but also provides a platform to gain valuable experience in commentating various sports while still in school.
Beyond my specialization in play-by-play, I showcased versatility by anchoring multiple television news and sports podcasts on campus. This experience highlighted my ability to uncover compelling stories and deliver them to viewers within tight timeframes.
In every one of my broadcasts, my goal is to recreate the spark that ignited my love for sports, offering the audience an immersive experience that allows them to escape reality and feel like a pivotal part of the game through my commentary. Beyond my professional pursuits, my passion for sports extends into my personal life. When not preparing for broadcasts, you'll find me avidly supporting my favorite teams, engaging in weightlifting, and participating in intramural sports.
